TYLER, THE CREATOR
Last week, Tyler, the Creator announced a huge 2025 arena tour supporting his new album CHROMAKOPIA, and following the initial couple of presales, he’s added additional shows in a bunch of cities.
THE NUMBER TWELVE LOOKS LIKE YOU / THE SLEEPING / SKYCAMEFALLING
Veteran NY and NJ post-hardcore bands The Number Twelve Looks Like You, The Sleeping, and Skycamefalling are wrapping the year up together with shows in New Jersey (12/27 @ Williams Center) and Long Island (12/30 at Amityville Music Hall).
SLAYER HEADLINING LOUDER THAN LIFE 2025
Slayer didn’t get to play their headline set at Louder Than Life this year due to severe weather, but they’ll return to the festival in 2025.
HEART TOUR OPENERS
Heart start their Royal Flush Tour in Las Vegas on February 28, and they’ve announced that opening will be Squeeze, Cheap Trick and Lucinda Williams, depending on the date. The tour ends in NYC at Radio City Music Hall on April 16 with Lucinda opening. All dates are here.
SPELLLING
SPELLLING will be on her first tour in two years in 2025 and is promising “brand new songs.”
YUKIMI (LITTLE DRAGON)
Little Dragon will be on a short US solo tour in December starting at NYC’s Le Poisson Rouge on December 2. That show is sold out so she’s added a second LPR show on 12/3.
THIS IS LORELEI
Nate Amos (also of Water From Your Eyes and My Idea) will support his fantastic new album as This is Lorelei, Box For Buddy, Box For Star, with a 2025 tour that includes East Coast and Midwest dates in January with youbet, and West Coast shows in March and April with Starcleaner Reunion.
TRENTEMØLLER
Danish musician Trentemøller released Dreamweaver back in September and has now announced a short North American tour happening in February.
PETER HOOK & THE LIGHT PLAY NEW ORDER’S ‘GET READY’
Peter Hook & The Light will be on tour in 2025 playing New Order’s 2001 album Get Ready in full. Peter notes many of the songs on the album were never actually played live by New Order.
FRANK BLACK
Pixies frontman Frank Black is gearing up to tour his second solo album, Teenager of the Year, next year with the original band he made it with. Before that he’s got a few solo acoustic shows.
MONTREUX JAZZ MIAMI
Montreux Jazz Festival leaves the shores of Lake Geneva for its Miami edition, which happens Feb 28-March 2, 2025. Headliners were announced today: Jon Batiste & Friends, Janelle Monáe, Afro-Cuban “La Descarga” hosted by Jon Batiste and Cimafunk with Alfredo Rodriguez, Cimafunk & La Tribu, Pedrito Martinez, Robe L Ninho, Wampi, and Yissy Garcia. Swedish noise pop artist Weatherday have announced a new album and a spring North American tour.
DEER TICK / DEERVANA NEW YEAR’S EVE
Deer Tick will say adios to 2024 at Providence, RI’s Fete Music Hall on New Year’s Eve (presale code: UNPLUGGED). They’ll open for themselves in their Deervana guise, playing Nirvana Unplugged. They’ve also got a few Midwest shows this week.
NOCAP
Rapper NoCap has announced the Before I Disappear Again Tour which begins January 18 in Miami and comes to an end February 21 in San Francisco. The NYC stop is Irving Plaza on February 1.
BODY COUNT / CRO-MAGS / MURPHY’S LAW
Ice-T‘s rap-metal band Body Count have a new album, Merciless, on the way next month, and while they haven’t announced a full tour in support of it, they will play a NJ show soon with Cro-Mags and Murphy’s Law.
