Soccer Mommy‘s new album Evergreen comes out next month (pre-order our exclusive opaque custard vinyl variant) and she’s given us another early taste of it with “Driver,” a catchy indie rock track. “‘Driver’ is a love song that’s really about someone being there for you in spite of your shortcomings,” Sophie Allison says. “It’s more light hearted than some of the other songs I’ve put out this year, using my distractedness as a bit of a punchline.” Hear it below.
Soccer Mommy also announced a 2025 tour supporting Evergreen, which begins in Atlanta on January 22 and runs through March 15 in Nashville; dates in Europe and the UK follow in April and May. She’s lined up some great support for the shows, with L’Rain, Tomberlin, and Hana Vu each opening part of the North American run. She also has festival dates lined up this fall, including All Things Go, and you can see all dates below.
The new NYC show is at Brooklyn Steel on January 30 with L’Rain. Tickets to that and all dates go on sale Friday, September 13 at 10 AM local.
Pick up our exclusive opaque custard vinyl variant of Evergreen, limited to 300 copies, in the BV store, along with our exclusive milky clear variant of Sometimes, Forever.
