After holding its inaugural edition in 2023, ’80s and ’90s alt-rock-focused Huntington Beach, CA festival Darker Waves is returning for a second round. It happens on Saturday, November 14 at City Beach, and headlining are Smashing Pumpkins (who are also a Lollapalooza headliner this year) and Morrissey (who is still making headlines for cancelling shows).
The lineup also includes Simple Minds, Bad Religion, Adam Ant, The Psychedelic Furs, Soft Cell, The Damned, Gary Numan, ’90s Britpop vets Gene (first US show since 2002), Silversun Pickups, Buzzcocks, EMF, Circle Jerks, Marky Ramone, Mariachi El Bronx, Cold Cave, TR/ST, Modern English, and more.
