Brooklyn-via-Denton, TX duo Venus Twins make sasscore for the hyperpop era. They’ll fit in perfectly when they open for The Blood Brothers at Brooklyn’s Warsaw on December 16, and they sound as refreshingly modern today as The Blood Brothers did two decades ago. Their new EP \/\/\/\/ (Pronounced Stitching) comes out next week (11/8) via Three One G (pre-order), and we’re now premiering the video for “Stitching.” It’s a clip that’s as chaotic as the song itself, and here’s what the duo tells us about it:
“Stitching” is the grind/chase to achieve the goals in our life, both personally and with our profession. This song is also about the attempts to mend the problems in our life. We also highlight the negative effects that uncompromising decisions have on relationships and your own well-being… whether that’s lyrically or sonically.
It was impossible for Matt to work out a good balance with his partner between music and time spent together.
The back and forth form in this song serves the idea of things spiraling out of control, when too much is on the line on all fronts. This track gives insight on being the stressed out individuals we were at the time of writing/recording this track.
