The 2025 edition of Lollapalooza began on Thursday (7/31) at Chicago’s Grant Park. After cancelling his set last year, Tyler, the Creator returned as one of Thursday night’s headliners, fresh off the release of his surprise new album Don’t Tap the Glass and still supporting last year’s CHROMAKOPIA, which dominated his setlist. Luke Combs was Thursday’s other headliner, marking the first time a country artist has headlined Lolla.

Day one of the festival also included a surprise appearance from Robyn, who came out to join Gracie Abrams on a rendition of “Dancing on My Own” (Gracie had covered the song sans Robyn the last time she played Lolla, in 2022), as well as sets from Magdalena Bay, Fcukers, Sunami, Ratboys, julie, Sierra Ferrell, Overmono, Nourished by Time, 2hollis, Xaviersobased, and more.
