Nilüfer Yanya has released “Like I Say (I runaway),” her first new single since 2022’s excellent PAINLESS (our #3 album of that year). It was written in collaboration with her creative partner, Wilma Archer, and it’s exactly the kind if soaring art rock song that Nilüfer does so well. Assuming more music is on the way, this is a very promising first taste.
Nilüfer says, “It’s about how you choose to spend your time. Time is like a currency, every moment. You’re never going to get it back. It’s quite an overwhelming thing to realize.” It comes with a video directed by Nilüfer’s sister Molly Daniel. Check it out below.
