Western Massachusetts singer-songwriter Hannah Mohan, formerly of And the Kids, is releasing her first solo album, Time Is a Walnut, due out on July 12 via Egghunt Records. It was co-written and produced with Alex Toth of Rubblebucket after a “life changing breakup,” and you can see the cover art and tracklist below.
The latest single is soaring folk track “Hell,” which features Lady Lamb; watch the video below. “I need to say that this song was written about a time when my mind was a hellscape iykyk,” Mohan says. “And while this song was written about being in hell in my mind, it’s extremely important to note that people are living in actual Hell on Earth right now in Gaza. For the love of god. I want an immediate ceasefire and the reopening of the Rafah crossing. Allow entry of life-saving aid and safe passage of displaced Palestinians. Please.”
