David Pajo (of Slint, the current Gang of Four lineup, and more) has announced his first Papa M album in six years, Ballads of Harry Houdini, due November 22 via Drag City. Pajo recorded and mastered the album himself, and the first taste is a grizzled indie rock waltz called “Ode To Mark White” that finds him in great form. Listen below.
Papa M has one upcoming show at the moment, opening for the new Pavement/Chavez/Dirty Three-related indie supergroup The Hard Quartet at The Belasco in LA on October 10.
