Nashville country rock band Teddy and the Rough Riders recently announced a new album, Down Home, the followup to their 2022 Margo Price-produced self-titled LP. This one has some cool guest contributors too, including guitar from Sean Thompson (who also announced a new album today) and backing vocals from Emily Nenni and Erin Rae. It’s due October 11 via Appalachia Record Co (pre-order), and we’re now premiering its third single, a gently-rollicking song called “Fast Livin’.”
“The inspiration behind a song like ‘Fast Livin” comes from a classic country trope about living beyond your means and living hard,” says co-leader Jack Quiggins. “Not to say we’re strangers to that life but there’s something about the familiarity of it that feels natural but also scary and I really wanted to portray that in a fast ripping barn burner.” Check it out below.
