Greg Mendez has signed to Dead Oceans and announced a new EP, First Time / Alone. It’s the follow-up to his very good self-titled 2023 album and due out on October 18 via his new label home. He made it while recovering from surgery on his right wrist, and the first single is “First Time,” a bittersweet lullaby. Hear it, and see the EP cover art and tracklist, below.
As previously announced, Greg will be touring with Angel Olsen and Allegra Krieger this fall, wrapping up with an NYC show at Baby’s All Right on October 30 with Allegra. He also plays Hudson, NY’s Basilica Soundscape later this month. See all dates below.
