Big Thief’s Buck Meek has announced his new solo album, The Mirror, which will be out February 27 via 4AD. He made it with his bandmate James Krivchenia and there are contributions from Adrianne Lenker, Alex Somers, Mary Lattimore, Germaine Dunes, Staci Foster, Jolie Holland, and Buck’s brother, Dylan Meek, among others.
The first single from the album is its opening track, “Gasoline,” a song about the power and bond of love. “Making words up while we made love,” he sings, “One month and she’s in my blood.” You can watch the video, directed by Noel Paul, below.
