DC post-punks Bacchae have returned with their first new song since 2020’s Pleasure Vision. It’s called “Cooler Talk,” and it’s a fired-up song that directs its anger at capitalism and the corporate world (“We give them the best parts of our days/They treat us like dogs in a comfortable cage!“). Like Pleasure Vision, it was recorded and mixed by J. Robbins and it’s out via Get Better Records. Check it out below.
Bacchae also have one upcoming show at the moment, opening for fellow DC post-punk band Ekko Astral in their shared hometown at Black Cat on Friday (4/5). Ekko Astral also just announced their debut LP for Topshelf, pink balloons.
