The Dillinger Escape Plan have been playing a very select few reunion shows with original vocalist Dimitri Minakakis to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their 1999 debut album Calculating Infinity, and they’ve just added a Philly date with an amazing Philly-heavy lineup. It goes down on November 23 at Franklin Music Hall and it features Pissed Jeans (who made a big return this year with their killer new album Half-Divorced), reunited Massachusetts tech-death-grinders The Red Chord, queer grindcore collective HIRS, and grungy indie rockers Rid of Me.
Tickets are on AmEx presale now, with more presales beginning Thursday (9/5) at 10 AM and the general public on-sale beginning Friday (9/6) at 10 AM.
DEP recently played three NYC shows with support from Deadguy, The Callous Daoboys, Candy, Car Bomb, and a brief orchestral Dillinger tribute set from Seven)Suns, and you can check out a review/recap and pics. They also played No Values fest, where they brought out Jello Biafra for the Dead Kennedys’ “California Über Alles” and Suicidal Tendencies’ Mike Muir to cover the Minor Threat version of Wire’s “12XU.”
