The Punk Rock Museum in Las Vegas is always adding more and more people to the list of punk legends giving guided tours at the museum, and the many newly-announced tour guides for this fall include Operation Ivy vocalist Jesse Michaels giving tours from October 11-14. Jesse writes:
Hi friends, I am going to ba a tourguide at the PR museum in Vegas (@thepunkrockmuseum ). I will be telling personal stories, sharing some history, stretching the truth a little and settling some scores once and for all (jk about last part). My intention is to deliver more than is asked for and leave everybody feeling like they connected with my little corner of punk history in an intimate and memorable way. I am more than honored to be asked by @fatmikedude and PRM and also by people’s interest in my booble-babble. Really appreciate all of you!

For anyone traveling to Las Vegas for one of the two punk/emo festivals in October, it’s worth noting that Jesse’s tours happen during and right after the Best Friends Forever festival. The following weekend is When We Were Young.
Jesse Michaels and his former Op Ivy bandmate Tim Armstrong (also of Rancid) reunited in 2022 to perform “Sound System” at a backyard charity event, and again in 2023 to perform “Take Warning” at a backyard tribute show to the late Specials vocalist Terry Hall. They also formed a new band together in 2023 called Doom Regulator (originally called Bad Optix).
