Description
After breaking into the mainstream rock world with 2001’s Toxicity, System of a Down’s 2002 follow-up was an overt embrace of their weirdest tendencies. Between its bonkers intro song about ordering pizza, its cheeky album art and its lack of an obvious single in the shadow of “Chop Suey!,” Steal This Album! is the odd-man out in a discography full of oddities. However, it’s all of those idiosyncrasies — not to mention its wealth of underrated SOAD jams — that make it one of their most compelling albums. Eli Enis
