Almost a month after it was originally scheduled to reopen after renovations on May 1, Brooklyn Mirage remains closed. The last full statement from the venue came last week when they postponed their Memorial Day Weekend shows, and since then several more shows have been rescheduled or moved to other venues. Those include:
- Rezz – moved to SummerStage in Central Park tonight (5/30)
- Artbat – rescheduled to November 7 at The Brooklyn Mirage
- Everyday People – rescheduled to September 21 at The Brooklyn Mirage
- A.G. Cook – rescheduled to August 29 at The Brooklyn Mirage
- All Day I Dream of Summer Shimmer with Lee Burridge, Sébastien Léger, Roy Rosenfeld, Tim Green, Luca Saporito, and Tommy Raffa – rescheduled to July 13 at The Brooklyn Mirage
- Sammy Virji – moved to Forest Hills Stadium on June 14
The next show scheduled at Brooklyn Mirage is currently Tape B (early and late) on June 7; stay tuned.
In the last week, it was revealed that Josh Wyatt is no longer CEO of Brooklyn Mirage’s parent company, Avant Gardner. He had come onboard in October.
The venue’s most recent statement reads, “We apologize to our incredible community of fans, artists, crew members, and staff for the delay. Although the Brooklyn Mirage is opening later than anticipated, we are making great progress towards opening our doors. We take responsibility for the delay and are working diligently with the City of New York to make sure that we meet all regulations and requirements, so that we can deliver a safe and unforgettable experience for everyone.”
