Fontaines D.C. are currently in NYC hyping up their upcoming fourth album, ROMANCE, and stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday to perform their new single “Starburster.” Between the glowing violet lighting, the increased synth presence and the fashion on display, their performance had a distinct late-’90s flavor to it. Maybe it’s because I just rewatched Go, but I’m digging it and “Starburster” sounded great. Watch below.
While in town, Fontaines D.C. are playing a sold-out show at Greenpoint club Warsaw tonight (5/8), and will be back this fall for a full North American tour, including a show at Brooklyn Paramount on October 15.
ROMANCE is out August 23 via XL.
