The Linda Lindas had a very Talking Heads type of Thursday. The band played “Found a Job,” their contribution to the recently released Stop Making Sense tribute album, at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre on Thursday night as part of the Stop Making Sense screening event. Their performance kicked off the night, which also included a screening of the film, and a Q&A with all four members of Talking Heads (David Byrne, Chris Franz, Tina Weymouth, and Jerry Harrison) that was moderated by Questlove.
Both the The Linda Lindas and Talking Heads were also on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday night. Talking Heads were there just to talk, but The Linda Lindas did “Found A Job” with help from The Roots. Bela Salazar even busted out some David Byrne-style dance moves.

The Linda Lindas’ summer tour starts in July and includes opening for The Rolling Stones in Los Angeles, and they’ll be part of the Green Day / Smashing Pumpkins / Rancid tour, including the NYC show at Citi Field on August 5. They also announced some headline shows on their days off, including Asbury Park, NJ’s Asbury Lanes on July 27. Tickets are on sale now, and you can see all dates below.
