Saturday Night Live will return for its 50th season on September 28, and they’ve announced a pretty stacked list of hosts and musical guests for the first five episodes. Jean Smart (who just won an Emmy for Hacks) will host the season premiere (9/28), with musical guest Jelly Roll; October 5 will be hosted by comedian Nate Bargatze, with musical guest Coldplay; October 12 has Ariana Grande hosting, and Stevie Nicks as musical guest (for the first time since 1983); October 19 will be hosted by Michael Keaton (Beetlejuice), with Billie Eilish as musical guest; and November 2 will have John Mulaney hosting for a sixth time, and Chappell Roan as musical guest.
Coldplay’s appearance is the day after the release of their new album Moon Music, and a few days before their intimate Brooklyn show for SiriusXM. Billie’s appearance happens right after her North American tour hits the NYC-area for shows at Madison Square Garden and Prudential Center. Chappell Roan will be in NYC later this month for All Things Go, then return in November for her appearance. John Mulaney, meanwhile, is also returning to Broadway in December.
