Wild Pink have announced a new album, Dulling The Horns, due October 4 via Fire Talk Records (pre-order). His previous album, 2022’s ILYSM, was being written as bandleader John Ross was diagnosed with cancer, and he spent the album cycle telling that story. Dulling The Horns, he says, “came from the feeling of figuring out how do you deal with things and move forward and just keep creating.”
The first single is “The Fences of Stonehenge,” which finds Wild Pink’s indie-heartland rock in fine form. John says:
I was messing around with some classic sounding lyrical tropes because I wanted to pick them apart as a song idea but also because they actually sounded good as lyrics. I think it works because this song is kind of about figuring out what to do when you realize you outgrew a lot of stuff you used to like. This song came together somewhat quickly and I was pretty sure it was gonna be the album opener when I was writing it.

Wild Pink also announced an international tour, which kicks off with Europe/UK shows in October and ends with two shows in the band’s hometown of NYC: November 22 & 23 at Union Pool. All dates are listed below.
