TX heavygazers Trauma Ray announce debut album, touring with Panchiko (stream a track)

Fort Worth, TX shoegazers Trauma Ray have been on the rise for a while and they just announced that they’ll follow their string of increasingly good EPs with their first full-length album, Chameleon, on October 25 via Dais Records (pre-order). The first single is “Bishop,” which finds the band moving all across the shoegaze spectrum, from the light, airy side to the heavy, sludgy side. Co-songwriter Uriel Avila says:

I grew up in a pretty religious setting. Sin, guilt, and penance have always been themes that have stuck with me since a very young age. The fear of hell and fire was instilled in me when I was in my most malleable state and the lyrics to this song tie to that period of my life.

Trauma Ray also have upcoming tour dates with back-in-action cult band Panchiko, including a show in New Haven on November 14 at Toad’s Place. All dates are listed below.
