DISTURBED (playing THE SICKNESS) / THREE DAYS GRACE / SEVENDUST
Ooh-wah-ah-ah-ah! Disturbed are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their 2000 debut album The Sickness by playing it in full on a tour in 2025, and adding to the alt-metal nostalgia, it’s also the first-announced tour for Three Days Grace since they reunited with original singer Adam Gontier. Sevendust join the “I Hate Everything About You” band and the “Down with the Sickness” band on the first leg of the tour (which hits Madison Square Garden on March 21), and the second leg is with Daughtry and Nothing More. JOZEF VAN WISSEM
“It’s like a part of my body,” says Jozef Van Wissem his instrument of choice, the lute. “The complexity of it is what keeps me going because you can always find something new.” The dark folk artist will be back in the US in December for shows in Chicago, NYC, Brattleboro, Philadelphia, Dalls, Los Angeles, and Boston. The NYC show is at Bowery Electric on 12/6 and he’ll be performing a live score to F. W. Murnau’s 1928 silent horror classic, Nosferatu.
90 DAY MEN
Midwest post-hardcore greats 90 Day Men, who got a career-spanning Numero Group box set last year, have announced their first shows since 2006.
DUMP / SLOPPY HEADS ASHEVILLE BENEFIT
Asheville, NC band The Hypos were supposed to play Union Pool on Friday but couldn’t make it up due to Hurricane Helene, so the venue is throwing a hurricane relief benefit instead, featuring Dump (James McNew of Yo La Tengo), the Sloppy Heads (also featuring McNew), and Ben Copperhead & The Stringed Serpents. 100% of the proceeds ($20 at the door) go to Beloved Asheville.
POM POKO
Oslo band Pom Poko, who released Champion earlier this year, have announced a 2025 North American dates. First they’ll be here in January on the Eastern half the continent beginning Chicago on 1/20 and wrapping up in Brooklyn on 1/28 at Baby’s All Right, then they’ll be back in the spring for West Coast shows. RONI SIZE
Drum and bass icon and Bristol, UK legend Roni Size begins his US DJ tour in Brooklyn tonight (10/10) at Public Records with Ayanna Heaven also spinning. Since we last posted he’s added more dates, now hitting Ft Lauderdale, Orlando, Los Angeles, Kansas City, Denver and Dallas.
