The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Steve Keene art pop-up, more added to Bazooka! Fest

The Pains of Being Pure at Heart warmed up for their reunion tour with an intimate NYC show in February, and returned in April as part of Nothing’s Slide Away fest. They’ve now announced a set at another NYC fest, The Sunshine Convention‘s ’90s indie rock and jangly indiepop-heavy Bazooka! Fest, happening on Sunday, August 3 at The Meadows.

Other new additions to the lineup include a duo set from Yo La Tengo‘s James McNew & Jennifer O’Connor, and a pop-up shop from Steve Keene, the prolific Brooklyn artist whose work has appeared on the covers of albums by Pavement, Apples in Stereo, and more.

Bazooka! Fest also features Elf Power, The Moles, Kleenex Girl Wonder, Golden Apples, The Laughing Chimes, and more. Tickets are on sale now, and you can see the full lineup below.
