Montreal greats The Besnard Lakes are back with their first new music in two years. “(Dizzy) Eagle” is sprawling and cinematic, like most good Besnard Lakes, with their signature slow build tease before blasting off into epic rock grandeur nearly five minutes in. No word on whether this is the tip of the iceberg for a new album, but things are stirring in the world of The Besnard Lakes. They play a show at frontman Jace Lasek’s Breakglass Studios in Montreal on May 28 ahead of their appearance at Nevada’s Schellraiser Fest. Let’s hope there’s more news soon.
