The surviving members of Soundgarden will return to the stage under their anagram alias Nudedragons for a show at the Showbox in Seattle. It happens 14 years after the band, with the late Chris Cornell still with them, played their first show in 13 years at the same venue. This performance happens on Saturday, December 14 and is part of the SMooCH benefit for Seattle Children’s Hospital. Kim Thayil, Ben Shepherd, and Matt Cameron will be joined by Shaina Shepherd on vocals for the set, which is described as a “brief encore performance.”
The benefit will also feature Sebadoh, Guns N’ Roses’ Duff McKagan, and Built to Spill‘s Doug Martsch (who will play a solo set for VIP ticketholders during the food and wine event). Tickets are on sale now.
