Shabaka played a pair of Brooklyn shows at National Sawdust last week, part of his current North American tour supporting his fantastic new album Perceive Its Beauty, Acknowledge Its Grace, and he’s announced that he’ll be back in NYC for some more shows later this year. He’ll play a six night residency at Blue Note Jazz Club on September 3-8, with early and late shows each night. Tickets are on sale now.
Esperanza Spalding, who makes a guest appearance on Perceive Its Beauty, Acknowledge Its Grace, has also announced an NYC residency, happening in early 2025. She’ll play twelve nights at Blue Note Jazz Club on February 18-23 and February 25-March 2, also with two sets each night. Tickets are on sale now.
