Burlington, VT band Robber Robber‘s debut album Wild Guess is out this week, and they’ve just announced a North American tour in support. Stops include Boston, DC, Raleigh (Hopscotch Fest), Philly, Cleveland, Chicago, NYC (Baby’s All Right on August 11 with Pet Fox and a solo set by This is Lorelei), and more. All dates are listed below.
Robber Robber have also shared one last single before we get the whole album. “How We Ball” is a sneering post-punk ripper that’s another showcase for the band’s adept, inventive and powerful rhythm section, not to mention some searing leads. “This song is about how we have to present ourselves,” says singer/guitarist Nina Cates. “It’s a playful look into saying the right thing and thinking about how you come across to others. Sometimes it’s so simple and sometimes you go home feeling like you said all the wrong things.”
