Riot Fest leaving Douglass Park, entering RiotLand

Last week, Riot Fest revealed that in addition to two announcements on Wednesday (6/12), there would be a “Riot Fest 2024 Lineup Announcement Eve” tonight (6/11). That’s officially arrived, and with it, a statement from Riot Mike. It says that the festival will be leaving Chicago’s Douglass Park, where it’s been held since 2015. “Allow me to be as clear as the azure sky of the deepest summer — our exodus is solely because of the Chicago Park District,” it reads. “Their lake of care for the community, you, and us, ultimate left us no choice.”

“Though our curtains may have closed in Douglass Park,” it continues, “another one has opened. It’s called RiotLand. It’s something like you’ve never seen before. And it’s far overdue.”

Where is RiotLand? Your guess is as good as ours at this point – stay tuned.

UPDATE: RiotLand is in Bridgeview, IL, at SeatGeek Stadium. There will be five stages, and on-site parking. The “Getting to RiotLand” page reads:
