Ian Shelton has been keeping busy with Militarie Gun lately — they released the fantastic Life Under the Gun last year and have been doing a bunch of touring around it — but he’s announced the return of his pulverizing hardcore band Regional Justice Center. As Stereogum points out, they’ve announced their first show since Sound and Fury 2022, at San Fernando, CA’s The Midnight Hour on August 4. Support is currently TBA, and the show is sold out.
UPDATE: The show has been moved to the bigger room at The Midnight Hour, and tickets are back on sale.
The show flyer specifies “no photographers only real people,” which has some people in the comments on Ian’s Instagram defending the value of hardcore photography, and others arguing that there’s an overabundance of cameras at shows.
Regional Justice Center’s last album was 2021’s great Crime and Punishment, and this is their only scheduled show at the moment. Stay tuned.
