Poland’s Trupa Trupa are back with their first new music in two years. “Sister Ray” was produced by Nick Launay, who produced Amyl and The Sniffers’ Cartoon Darkness (not to mention records by Nick Cave, Midnight Oil, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and more), and it’s the first taste of the trio’s new EP, Mourners, which will be out in 2025.
Driven forward by a relentless beat and dark, throbbing bass line, “Sister Ray” is a hooky slab of heavy post punk. Check out the music video, directed by Adam Witkowski and the band, below.
Trupa Trupa have dates in the UK and Ireland in December, plus a few lined up for next year, including the Iggy Pop curated In The Meadows Festival in May. The band say US dates in early 2025 are in the works. Stay tuned. All are listed below.
