Perfume Genius will continue touring his fantastic March album Glory in 2026 – he’s announced a new run of intimate “Duo” shows that will feature him and his collaborator and partner Alan Wyffels. “Alan was the first person I ever sang in front of,” Mike Hadreas says. “We’ve played every single show together for 15 years. When we started it was just him and I, perched on our keyboards at the front of the stage. I miss a lot of those older songs and how intense they could be with just the two of us. We’re excited to go back there. We want to sing stripped down versions of newer songs as well and write some new music altogether to play as a duo.” See all dates below.
The NYC show is at Adler Hall at New York Society for Ethical Culture on April 2. Tickets go on sale Friday, November 21 at 10 AM local.
Perfume Genius also shared a new video, directed by Otium, for “Me & Angel” off Glory. “‘Me & Angel’ is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever made,” he says. “I wrote it very quickly one night, kind of suddenly and with the entire melody and lyric coming together almost immediately. So I never had to revisit the demo. Taking it to the studio though was difficult, I had to do a lot of takes because I was getting so emotional. That has never happened before.
