Paint it Black returned last year with their first album in 10 years, Famine, and after playing their first West Coast shows in a decade earlier this year, they’ve announced they’ll return to the East Coast this fall for a few more dates. “Don’t start beliving in god or anything,” they write, “but all the same, here’s a miracle for you: we are playing THREE SHOWS in the NORTHEAST with DILLINGER FOUR and PUBLIC ACID.”
They continue, “PUBLIC ACID, of course, released the best record of THIS year, we, of course, released the best record of LAST year, and DILLINGER FOUR, of course, are perhaps the greatest music group in this nation’s history. Believe it.”
The shows are in Brooklyn (The Brooklyn Monarch on November 22, also with The Follies), Washington DC (St. Stephen’s Church on November 23), and Cambridge (The Sinclair on November 24, also with Cigarette Camp), and tickets go on sale Friday, September 13 at 10 AM ET. Paint it Black add, “You have no idea how long we have been trying to make this happen, and who knows when something like this might occur again, so you’d better join us.”
