OSEES have gone through a lot of lineup (and name) changes over the years, but for a lot of people the “classic” lineup of the band was the late-’00s/early-’10s era when they were Thee Oh Sees and had keyboardist Brigid Dawson in the band singing co-lead with John Dwyer. Brigid left the group in 2013 but has collaborated with Dwyer since, including on pretty records as OCS.
For those who pine for that Obama-era run of the group, though, OSEES have announced a six-show residency at Los Angeles’ Teragram Ballroom, and three of those shows will feature Brigid back in the band doing songs from Carrion Crawler/The Dream, Master’s Bedroom, Help, Warm Slime, Floating Coffin, and more. Those three shows happen September 30, October 11 and November 29.
The other three Teragram shows happen July 17 (dubbed “In the Beginning”), August 29 (West Coast tour kickoff) and then a “holiday spectacular” on December 19. Tickets for all residency shows go on sale Friday, January 31 at 10 AM PST.
OSEES are on tour around the world for most of 2025, and will hit the East Coast this fall for two Brooklyn shows at Warsaw on October 25 & 26. They’ve also got dates in Australia, Europe, the UK, and more. Check out their lengthy schedule below.
The band’s most recent album is 2024’s all-synth SORCS 80 and I’d have to imagine we’ll have a new one before the year’s out. Check out our OSEES album guide which takes you through all eras of the band.
