Nine Inch Nails‘ 2025 Peel it Back tour kicked off in Dublin on Sunday night at the city’s 3Arena, which was the band’s first show there in 18 years and first show anywhere in three. The production of this tour features two stages, a smaller stage set up in the middle of the arena and featuring unique visuals, collaborations and rarities, and the main stage featuring NIN’s hits and cinematic projections.
The Dublin show began on the smaller stage with three songs that hadn’t been played in 16 years. Trent Reznor was solo at the piano to kick things off with “Right Where it Belongs” and a snippet of “Somewhat Damaged,” followed by the rest of the band joining for a partially acoustic “Ruiner” and then a full-blast “Piggies.”
Things then switched over to the main stage where they performed against multiple sheer video screens that enveloped the band for “Wish,” “March of the Pigs,” “The Frail,” “The Wretched,” “Reptile,” “Copy of A,” and “Gave Up.” The focus then returned to the smaller stage, which was also incased in sheer video screens, as they did a techno-forward set with openers Boys Noize. That included “Vessel,” “Parasite,” and “Came Back Haunted,” which all got their first play in at least seven years.
The Dublin show ended back on the main stage with some of their biggest songs, including “Closer,” “Head Like a Hole,” Bowie’s “I’m Afraid of Americans,” and “Hurt.”

The Peeling it Back tour hits North America later this summer, with shows at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on September 2 and 3.
