The controversial yet extremely popular country star Morgan Wallen has teamed with AEG/Goldenvoice and Hangout Festival for Sand In My Boots, which takes over the usual Hangout Fest location and weekend in Gulf Shores, Alabama, timed with Hangout’s 15th anniversary. According to a press release, Wallen curated the lineup, which is said to feature “an eclectic mix of Wallen’s favorite artists and inspirations.” He headlines, along with Post Malone, Brooks & Dunn, and Hardy, and there’s a lot of country on the lineup, plus more indie rock and hip hop than you probably expected to see on a festival curated by Morgan Wallen.
The indie rock acts include The War On Drugs, Future Islands, Real Estate, and Wild Nothing; hip hop representation comes from Three 6 Mafia, 2 Chainz, Wiz Khalifa, T-Pain, Moneybagg Yo, and BigXthaPlug; and the lineup also includes Riley Green, Paul Cauthen, Morgan Wade, Diplo, Chase Rise, 49 Winchester, Hailey Whitters, and more. Also: MAGA rockers 3 Doors Down.
