Having recently performed at the Democratic National Convention, Jason Isbell will now again show his support for the Democratic party by performing at the Kamala Harris/Tim Walz ‘Get Out The Vote’ concert in Pittsburgh on Friday (10/4). The concert will also feature one of Jason’s musical heroes, fellow politically outspoken musician Michael Stipe of R.E.M., and an unannounced special guest.
Earlier this year, Jason inducted R.E.M. into the Songwriters Hall of Fame during a ceremony that also featured Jason covering “It’s The End of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)” and R.E.M.’s original lineup reuniting for the first time in 17 years to play “Losing My Religion.” Jason also previously covered R.E.M.’s “Driver 8” for his Georgia Blue charity album, which he released after Joe Biden won Georgia in the 2020 election.

Jason Isbell and his backing band The 400 Unit will also release their new live album Live From The Ryman Vol. 2 this Friday (10/4), and the 2024 edition of their annual Ryman run begins the following week (10/10).
