Matt Berry, who was robbed at the Emmys on Sunday, losing to Jeremy Allen White in the Lead Actor in a Comedy Series category (The Bear may or may not be a comedy but White’s performance is definitely not comic), has moved on to bigger and better things. Namely announcing a new album, Heard Noises, which will be out January 24 via Acid Jazz.
The album features contributions from Fruit Bats‘ Eric D Johnson, actress Natasha Lyonne, and Kitty Liv of Kitty, Daisy and Lewis on first single “I Gotta Limit.” After tripping through ’60s psychedelia on 2021’s The Blue Elephant, this is more sunshine pop circa 1970 and you could just imagine a technicolor TV variety show performance of “I Gotta Limit.” There’s no video, unfortunately, but you can listen to the song below.
