We lost Mark Lanegan in February 2022 at age 57, and now to honor him and celebrate his music and life, a tribute concert has been announced. It happens at London’s Roundhouse on December 5, which is just a couple weeks after what would’ve been his 60th birthday.
Performing at the show will be many of Mark’s friends and collaborators, including Afghan Whigs‘ Greg Dulli, Queens of the Stone Age‘s Josh Homme and Troy Van Leeuwen, Depeche Mode‘s Dave Gahan, Primal Scream‘s Bobby Gillespie, The Kills‘ Alison Mosshart, The Pretenders‘ Chrissie Hynde, Duke Garwood, Soulsavers, and “very special guests” still to be announced.
Greg Dulli says, “What a wonderful night this will be. Singing his songs and sharing stories of our dear friend in a much-deserved celebration of his life and music.”
Tickets go on sale Tuesday, October 1 at 10 AM UK time. Check out the poster below.
Mark’s 2004 album Bubblegum was recently given a 20th anniversary expanded reissue.
