Marietta postpone reunion tour dates

Emo revival vets Marietta began their short fall reunion tour, playing their first shows in a decade, last week, but they’ve postponed the final two headlining shows due to illness. The NYC show scheduled for tonight (10/7) at Warsaw and the DC show scheduled for Wednesday (10/8) at Black Cat will both be rescheduled for later dates. Their Best Friends Forever set this weekend is set to go ahead as scheduled, however. They write:

Hey everyone,

It deeply pains us to share this with you, but we need to reschedule today’s show in NYC and tomorrow in DC due to illness. We are extremely bummed about it and wish we could power through, but for the benefit of you all and our own bodies, we’ve decided it’s in everyone’s best interest to rest up so that we can come back and put on the show that you all deserve. Anyone that has bought tickets and is able to make the rescheduled dates (TBD) will be able to do so, and for those who will not be able to make it will be provided refunds.

We will still be coming out to Vegas this weekend and are doing everything in our power to be ready to rip at full strength come Sunday.

Thank you so much to everyone who has come out to see us over the last few days. It’s really been an unbelievable and special experience. A very special thank you to awakebutstillinbed for being total legends and bringing amazing energy to all of the shows. We also were so lucky to have with alltheflowers, Wonderglu, Goshupon, and Gollylagging throughout the past few days.

We will be back to NYC and DC to rock out.
