Little Dragon vocalist Yukimi has shared her debut solo single, the soulful “Break Me Down.” She co-wrote it with her Little Dragon bandmate Erik Bodin (who also produced and contributed drums, bass, and keys) and Lianne La Havas (who played guitar on it). Fredrik Egerstrand directed the accompanying video, which pays tribute to Ingmar Bergman’s The Seventh Seal with a reenactment of the scene with Death and the Knight (it was also shot at Hovs Hallar and the same beach as the film). Yukimi has also announced her debut solo shows, happening in NYC (December 2 at Le Poisson Rouge) and CA (Santa Ana’s Constellation Room on December 5, Oakland’s New Parish on December 6, and Los Angeles’ Troubadour on December 9). Tickets to all dates go on sale Friday, October 11 at 10 AM local time.
