Lala Lala, aka singer-songwriter Lillie West, has signed to Sub Pop and released her first song for the label. (She was previously on Sub Pop’s sister label Hardly Art.) “Does This Go Faster?” was co-produced by Jay Som and is a nice slice of breathy pop, full of swirling synths distorted drums. It’s the first taste of a new album, details TBA.
“I blew up my life and spent two years with my things in storage, traveling around,” Lillie says of the song. “I wrote this in Iceland during the time I started to feel a little like… What did I do? What happened? What now?” You can watch the video for the song below.
