La Femme frontman and co-founder Marlon Magnée has announced his debut solo album, which will be out next year via Disque Pointu. Full details of the album are still TBA but he’s shared the first single, “Nuage Gris,” which was produced by Renaud Letang, who has collaborated with Feist, Peaches and Manu Chao.
Fans of La Femme will find “Nuage Gris” in familiar territory with its zippy mix of new wave, early rock n’ roll and ’60 francophone pop. Marlon says it’s “a song about life’s ups and downs, encouraging listeners to chase away the grey clouds looming overhead.” You can watch the video below.
Marlon will also be on a solo tour in 2026, including North American dates in the fall. The NYC stop is at Elsewhere Hall on September 11 and tickets for all dates go on sale Friday, November 14 at 10 AM local.
