Florist will celebrate a decade of their first two releases for Double Double Whammy, 2015’s Holdly and 2016’s The Birds Outside Sang, with reissues and special shows. The reissues are out on January 30, and the shows are in February and March in a few US cities, and will feature only songs from these two releases.
The tour begins with a Woodstock show at Colony on February 20, and there’s an NYC show at Le Poisson Rouge on February 21. Tickets to those and all dates go on sale Friday, November 14 at 10 AM local.

our first Florist releases with Double Double Whammy, Holdly and The Birds Outside Sang, turn 10 years old this fall and winter respectively. what feels like a lifetime ago, was a big beginning for us. the first time we heard our music on vinyl, the first time our music reached an audience beyond living rooms and basements of tiny DIY shows. (no streaming!!) it was a special time and everything was new and exciting. NYC was bursting at the seams with amazing musicians and a community that organized so much from the ground up, it felt like everyone was inspiring each other. so many pillars of the music world today, as well as lesser known legends and greats were doing it back then. i feel lucky to have been around it all.
these two records have been out of print for a while, so we’re bringing them back as a special 10 year reissue, with a fun little flip flop of the pixel art style from birds and the paint strokes from holdly. and some special vinyl colors exclusive to these. pre order is live now on DDW site. available in record stores jan 30th.
