After 14 years and five albums, the very French band La Femme have announced their first album that’s fully in English. Bluntly titled Rock Machine, it’s out October 11 via Disque Pointu. Song titles are just as subtle, including “Yeah Baby,” “I Believe in Rock N’ Roll” and “My Generation” (not a Who cover).
According to the press release, Rock Machine was recorded over several years and several continents by founders Marlon Magnée and Sacha Got along with the rest of the band and toys with arena rock styles. It includes this summer’s single “Ciao Paris!,” and they’ve shared another, “Clover Paradise,” which opens the album with a sleek, glammy beat. Watch the video below.
The new album will be out in time for La Femme’s fall North American tour, which kicks off at NYC’s Terminal 5 on November 7. All dates are listed below.
