A GoFundMe has been launched to raise money for Juliette Lewis and the Licks (and ex-Fuel) bassist Jason Womack as he receives cancer treatment. “Jason Womack was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in April 2023,” it reads. “After over a year and a half of battling and intensive treatments, Jason was informed he had kicked cancer’s ass and was in the clear, this July 2024. This November (2024), he learned the cancer has come back and has metastasized. He is currently undergoing additional treatments and continuing to fight but needs your help! In addition to chemotherapy and radiation, his doctors have recommended advanced intensive therapies, which the family’s insurance does not cover. The effective treatments which will average an upwards of $250k have already begun, and we are hoping to help the Womack family cover the costs.” You can see the GoFundMe and donate here.
There’s also a benefit show for Womack, happening on February 2 at The Regent Theater in Los Angeles. Juliette and The Licks, Aeges, and H2O will perform, and there will be “celebrity jams” featuring members of The Offspring, Chevelle, Eagles of Death Metal and more, with Petty Cash and special guests closing the night (Probably worth noting that former/sometimes-current H2O member Todd Morse, brother of H2O vocalist Toby Morse, is in both the Licks and The Offspring). Tickets are on sale now.
