Iceland Airwaves has announced the initial lineup for its 2025 edition, which happens November 6-8 at clubs in downtown Reykjavik. Among the 35 acts who have been announced are UK groups Fat Dog, DEADLETTER, and Mermaid Chunky, Saddest Factory Records signee jasmine.4.t, New Zealand’s ratbag, and more. As always, Icelandic artists feature prominently, and this year those include Elín Hall, Sunna Margrét, Milkywhale, Magnús Jóhann, superserious, gugusar, Flóni, and more.
With no daytime shows, the festival is also a good excuse to visit and explore Iceland’s many spectacular natural wonders (waterfalls, geothermal pools and geysers, alien terrain, the aurora borealis), many of which are just a quick trip outside of Reykjavik. It’s a very fun festival, especially if you enjoy discovery. Tickets and travel packages are on sale now.
