GZA and Fishbone are teaming up this fall for the “Truth and Swords” tour, hitting East Coast cities in November with Beau Young Prince also on the bill. Dates, which have GZA backed by his live band Phunky Nomads, include DC, Asheville, Cincinnati, Cleveland, the NYC area, Pittsburgh, and more.
There are three NYC-area shows: New Haven, CT’s College St Music Hall on November 15; Jersey City’s White Eagle Hall on November 18; and Long Island’s The Paramount on November 19. Tickets for all “Truth and Swords” dates are on presale now and go on sale to the general public on Friday, August 4 at 10 AM.
Fishbone have also added a show at Manhattan’s Palladium Times Square on September 13 with Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra (also on sale 8/4), and before that they’ll open for George Clinton’s Parliament Funkadelic at Montclair, NJ’s Wellmont Theater on August 19. All Fishbone dates are listed below.
Right after the tour with Fishbone, GZA plays The Apollo on November 21 with Curren$y, Brasstracks, and Ace Clark. He’s also got dates with Wu-Tang Clan and those can be found here.
