Fake Fruit have announced fall tour dates in support of their upcoming second album, Mucho Mistrust. Dates are in October with Spllit and the tour hits Atlanta, Durham, Nashville, Richmond, DC, NYC, Boston, Montreal, Toronto, and Chicago. They’re also on tour now with Omni across the West Coast. All dates are listed below.
The NYC show is at Union Pool on October 12. Tickets for all fall dates go on sale Friday, June 14 at 10 AM local time.
Mucho Mistrust is out August 23 and Fake Fruit have also shared the horn-inflected “Cause of Death” from the new album. “I wrote the lyrics for this song when I felt so indecisive that I imagined someone performing an autopsy on me and declaring my cause of death to be indecision,” says Hannah D’Amato. As for the clown-centric video, D’Amato says, “I was thinking about that meme where the man is gradually turning into a clown without realizing it, and how that’s kind of what it feels like to participate in the rigged game of capitalism/the music industry where the house always seems to win.”
