Toronto duo Ducks Ltd are back with new single “The Main Thing,” another of their signature jangly earworms that features backing vocals from Dehd‘s Jason Balla. “‘The Main Thing’ is about growing apart from someone whose perspective you once shared,” says the band’s Tom McGreevy. “Being in lockstep with another person and then suddenly realizing you are no longer aligned. That you’re watching them throw themselves into the same losing battles over and over again, but also recognizing that all that losing might be the right thing to do.”
This is Ducks Ltd’s first new music in a year and hopefully an early taste of the follow-up to their great 2021 debut. You can watch the Colin Medley-directed video below.
Ducks Ltd have also announced a NYC show at TV Eye on December 2 with The Ophelias.
