Deftones held the fifth annual edition of their Dia De Los Deftones festival at San Diego’s Petco Park on Saturday (11/2), and they had a few surprises in store for their headlining set. They gave their cover of Japan’s “Ghosts” (which originally appeared on the iTunes edition of 2010’s Diamond Eyes, along with covers of The Cardigans’ “Do You Believe” and Drive Like Jehu’s “Caress”) its live debut, and also played Around the Fur track “Lhabia,” “Beauty School” from Diamond Eyes, and “Hexagram” from their 2003 self-titled album for the first time since 2018. Another Around the Fur track, “Rickets,” also got played for the first time since 2019. See Deftones’ setlist, and full set video from their set below.
Next for Deftones is their 2025 arena tour with The Mars Volta and Fleshwater, and after that wraps up in April, they’ve announced their biggest headining UK show yet, happening at London’s Crystal Palace Park on June 29. It’s with Weezer, High Vis, and more to be announced, and tickets go on sale Friday, November 8 at 9 AM GMT, with an artist presale starting Wednesday, November 6 at 9 AM GMT. See all dates below.
Meanwhile, Chino Moreno’s project with Shaun Lopez of Far, ††† (Crosses), also announced a couple of shows next month, in San Diego (The Observatory North Park on December 7) and Mexico City (Pabellón Oeste del Palacio de los Deportes on December 10). Tickets go on sale Thursday, November 7 at 10 AM PST, with various presales starting today (11/4) at 10 AM PST.
